Tricounty Family Ministries, one of greater Charleston’s largest and oldest faith-based nonprofit organizations, is launching a campaign to tell the community about the faces and the real life stories of both our clients and our staff in completing our principal mission: to help them move from crisis to stability to self-sustainability.
Meet Martha, born and raised in Charleston, and hear her story of travail and triumph, and what brings her to our Wesley Hall on a regular basis for a hot meal and companionship, along with the 400 guests we feed daily.
Visit with Roy Lee Brown, our in-house security guard, a U.S. Army Ranger Vietnam Vet, who battled depression and homelessness following the death of his wife of 33 years and now celebrates a job and a life that he loves.
Listen to Eartha Wigfall’s happy realization of our Client’s Choice program, where registered guests can peruse our pantry and pick items of their own choice to bring home and cook with throughout the week. The North Charleston resident visited recently with two friends and brought home grits, cereal, canned fruit, rice, pasta, canned meats, milk and more AND learned she can order needed dentures through our Healing Hands Ministry.
And, visit with the young faces of children and mothers coming through our doors to select clothing and enjoy a hot meal and a friendly conversation, or as one of our regular guests J.J. says, “People say thank you.”
We welcome the opportunity to come to you and tell these stories and share these beautiful faces.
