Voter Registration Information
Tuesday, Nov. 8 is Election Day. This year, you’ll be casting a vote for:
- Governor of South Carolina/Lieutenant Governor
- U.S. Senator from South Carolina
- U.S. House of Representatives from South Carolina
- South Carolina State House Representatives
Your vote matters! But, you can’t vote unless you’re registered. Heaven 100.1 is making it easy for you to get registered. To register to vote this November, Friday, Oct. 7 is the deadline to register in person, Tuesday, Oct. 11 by mail and Sunday, Oct. 9 online.
To be eligible to vote in South Carolina:
- You must be a citizen of the United States.
- You must be 18 years old or older on Election Day.
- You must be a resident of the precinct in which you register to vote.
- You must be mentally competent.
- You cannot be incarcerated, on parole, or on probation, due to a felony conviction.
HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE:
The easiest way is to register online. If you have a valid SC driver’s license or ID card, simply go to the SC Votes website.
If you don’t have a driver’s license to prove your identity, you can apply for a voter ID card. To apply, you’ll simply need to visit scdmvonline.com/Forms-And-Manuals and scroll down to “Identification Card Forms” and click on 447-NC – “Application for a Commercial Driver’s License or Commercial Learner’s Permit”:
- Complete an Application for a Beginner’s Permit, Driver’s License, or Identification Card (Form 447-NC).
- Provide proof of your identity and date of birth.
- Provide proof of your U.S. citizenship.
- Provide proof of your Social Security number.
- Provide proof of your SC residency.
You can also register to vote by mail, fax or email. Simply download and fill out this Voter Registration Form. Once you complete the form, you can mail it, fax it or email it to your County Board of Voter Registration.
