Join the Annual American Heart Association Heart Walk
Saturday, Feb. 28 | RiverDogs Stadium
Some people across South Carolina may not know how important heart health can be, which is why the American Heart Association seeks to change that every year through various campaigns and fundraisers. Their most popular campaign by far is the annual Heart Walk, a 3-mile trek aimed at getting people active, moving, and up to date about heart disease.
Happening in February, the 2026 Lowcountry Heart Walk is just around the corner and will once again take place at The Joe, home stadium of the RiverDogs! The Heart Walk provides a great opportunity to not only get up and active, but to learn about various heart problems; from birth defects such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome or Coarctation of the aorta to “silent killers” such as heart attacks, cardiac arrest, or coronary artery disease. This event also aims to honor survivors and remember those with heart disease.
Registration for the annual Lowcountry Heart Walk is available now. Event festivities begin at 8 AM, and the walk begins at 9 AM on Saturday, Feb. 28. Donations for individual walkers or teams of walkers can be submitted through the American Heart Association website.
