Every day, brave kids across South Carolina are fighting battles no child should ever have to face – battles against cancer. Together, we can take steps toward making a difference. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and you can show your support by participating in Camp Happy Days’ 5K event on Saturday, Sept. 27!

The “Happy Steps” event is a 5K run/walk that begins and ends at Sullivan’s Island Elementary School’s Beach Entrance with an afterparty hosted at The Island Club, featuring food, drinks, raffles, and prizes for top finishers of the 5K! In-Person registration opens at 8 AM on Sept. 27 and the walk begins at 9 AM. Race packets will be available to pick up the day before the race. Online registration is open now until Sept. 13 and tickets start at just $50. All proceeds from this event benefit Camp Happy Days and their mission to help children suffering from cancer.

Parking spaces will be available near Battery Gadsen and Sullivan’s Island Library – guests are encouraged to carpool if possible. Participants are also encouraged to bring bug spray and sunscreen, just in case!

Learn more and register today here while online registration is still open.
