Singer, Songwriter, Musician Christal Brown Heyward is a native of Johns Island and currently serves as a part-time staff musician at Mt. Horr AME Church in Hollywood.
Christal was the Gospel Brunch act for Hall’s Chophouse in downtown Charleston from 2010-2014. As part of her 30 plus year career, she’s recorded seven successful Gospel CD’s and has performed at New York’s “Showtime at The Apollo,” “Bobby Jones’ Gospel” in Nashville, St. Mark’s Cathedral in Shreveport, Louisiana and internationally in Bermuda and Italy.
