One of the most scenic and beautiful running events in the Lowcountry is happening again this year. Overlooking the waters of the Ashley River and the downtown peninsula, the James Island Connector Run, hosted by the Charleston Runners Club, is happening Saturday, Oct. 25, and you can sign up to participate today! Whether you want to run or walk the 5K or 8K, the choice is yours.

The James Island Connector Run begins at Folly Road & the James Island Expressway at 8AM. All runners, regardless of age or chosen distance, will take the same route across the James Island Connector with no exit ramps. The top finishers of the race will receive rewards and top placement medals; however, all runners will also receive finisher’s medals. A post-race festival will be held including food and the award ceremony.

Signing up before the event will guarantee a tee shirt, though late entries may not be eligible for one. Packet pick-up will be available Thursday, Oct. 23 from 11 AM to 6 PM at Fleet Feet Sports in Mount Pleasant, as well as Saturday, Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 7:30 AM before the race. Proceeds from tickets help assist the Charleston Animal Society and the Ladies Enriching the Community nonprofit organization.
