“Focusing on Our God, Not Our Enemies” (Nehemiah 4:1-5)
Pastor Jan Perkins| Fishers by Faith Ministries

“See, we get so caught up looking at the people who don’t like us. And so we focus on who don’t like us instead f focusing on our God.” – Pastor Jan Perkins

Today, Pastor Jan Perkins returns to Nehemiah 4 to talk to us about the focal point that will keep us in persistence despite adversity: looking at God instead of at those opposing us. “We live in a day and time now where you gotta be real about what you do. If you ain’t real, you gonna be exposed… If you say you love the Lord, you love the Lord. If you say you gonna obey Him, you got to obey Him. You can’t hide behind your title. You can’t hide behind your bible. It’s gotta be in your heart,” he says. “See, if it is in your heart, whatever opposition come against you, you gonna be doin’ it for the Lord regardless of who come against you or who with you. Because they ain’t got no heaven or hell to put you in. They did not save you. They did not sanctify you. They did not bring you out. They did not protect you.” Listen as Pastor Perkins pulls our focus back to the God so that we can overcome distraction by the enemy and fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.
