“Let the Work Continue” (Nehemiah 4:1-6)
Pastor Jan Perkins| Fishers by Faith Ministries

“So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.”
– Nehemiah 4:6

Today, Pastor Jan Perkins continues his sermon on persistence through adversity in Nehemiah 4 with a a strong caution against allowing the enemy any small strongholds in our minds. “The mind,” Pastor Perkins emphasizes, is where the battle is fought and where Satan’s subtle strategy lies: “‘If I just keep on doin’ little bit by little bit, I can get [her /him] to back on up.'” Pastor Perkins reminds us, “See, ya’ll can’t even identify. You gotta have a mind to work. That’s why the subject tonight is let the work continue… You might be having opposition, but the work got to go on. And let me tell you, it’s gonna go on with you or without you.” Listen as Pastor Perkins explains how “a mind to work” (a mind focused on God) makes all the difference in our willingness to attack the projects He puts in front of us.
