Air Date: Saturday, May 1, 2021

Darlene Dunmeyer-Roberson is a Hollywood, SC native, former teenage mom and motivational speaker on topics of education, personal counseling and real-world preparation. Founder of an educational support services organization, she also consults to individuals, organizations and school districts. One of her most recent projects includes increasing parent engagement in children’s education and building teacher-student relationships that make a difference in a child’s life.

In addition to giving practical advice on college, work and military preparation, much of Darlene’s work is in helping young people overcome negative stories that have been placed on them by others: “When you see me where I am now, that’s not where I came from… You can do anything you want to do. And don’t let anyone tell you differently.” Listen as she and Chef walk through her personal journey to victory, the founding of her education support service and how she uses her successes and failures to motivate others and make a difference.
