“Experiencing His Rest – Pt. 5” (Hebrews 3, Psalms 95Hebrews 4)
Pastor Kevin Brown | Kingdom Vision Christian Center

“Unbelief will stop you from receiving what God has ordained for you from the foundation of the world… I’m realizing what our real enemy is… Satan himself can’t stop you from getting what God has for you.” This week, Pastor Kevin Brown drives home a strong tie between his two series on faith and rest. Cross-referencing Hebrews 3, Psalms 95 and Hebrews 4, he makes an impassioned point about the unexpected factor that prevented the Israelites – and still prevents some people today – from entering God’s promised place of rest: “Satan was nowhere around… 10 different miracles God performed before their eyes and the Bible says that while all this commotion was going on in Egypt, Goshen [the place where the Israelites lived] was not even touched… We ought to give more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest we let them slip.  We were not there physically, but they were. The book of Hebrews was written to the Israelites to put them in remembrance of what had taken place. And why your people couldn’t enter the promised land. It wasn’t because of the devil. It wasn’t because of pharaoh. It was because of their unbelief.”
