“Grace & Law – Pt. 1” (Romans 10:4)

“Some people are afraid of the law. They’re afraid of… bondage. But law doesn’t really put you in bondage. It sets you free from bondage. It’s just [a question of] what law are you referring to?… A lot of circles are afraid of teaching grace because it sounds as if it implies looseness… for some people grace is a license to do whatever they want to do.” This week, Pastor Kevin Brown uses Romans 10:4 to set straight some misconceptions about grace and law: “If you’re teaching grace apart from inner transformation all you’re going to have is perversion. So you can’t teach grace and leave out inner transformation.” Listen as he describes the symbiotic relationship that grace and law find in holiness: “I believe in living holy… We don’t live holy to be holy. We’re living holy because we are holy.”
