“Understanding Singleness” (Matthew 19:3-4 & Genesis 2:18)

Today, Pastor Kevin Brown applies the scriptures to the difficult topic of singleness. He begins by defining the circumstances under which Eve was created and the bible’s definition of “alone” – “all in one.” “When God created Adam, He created Adam with a purpose,” Pastor Brown says. “Matter of fact, God created purpose first and then created something to fulfill that purpose… When a man or woman comes into your life, they better have a purpose – a Godly one. And this is where we’re messing up. We’re grabbing people because we don’t understand the concept of singleness.” Listen as Pastor Brown distinguishes between the world’s version of singleness (without interpersonal relationship – relationship to another) and God’s version of singleness (intrapersonal relationship – knowing oneself).
