“People who shake and fall because you correct them? They’re not ready for leadership. When you got to pat them on their back – be careful with that one! That’s a baby! They’re not ready for leadership, they may want leadership for the various reasons: they want to be seen and respected. They want to be looked upon as someone great. That’s all the wrong reasons to be a leader.” Today, Pastor Kevin Brown touches on political issues facing our country and the challenges facing our leadership as he makes the case for strong leadership versus popularity. He gives us a stern warning against expecting our nation’s leaders to give us what only God can give and cautions us against volunteering to be leaders ourselves when we’re not ready to accept responsibility.

Citing Jesus’ unpopular stand for truth when he told the crowd at the temple in John 6:67 that they would eat His flesh and drink his blood, Pastor Brown says, “He gave them that revelation because he wanted them to depart from Him. Jesus don’t want everybody. I know we think that. Jesus don’t want everybody. He was willing to lose all of them. Because he knew their hearts. He knew what they were after.” Listen as Pastor Brown encourages us to answer the burning question Jesus asked the remaining 12 who didn’t leave with the rest of the crowd, “Will you go too?”
