This week, Pastor Kevin Brown breaks down the significance of how, Jesus Christ proved His righteousness to James and John at the transfiguration, so that they could understand, not just what righteousness is, but what is its source. He says, “We know this event as the transfiguration… the Bible says that there stood there Moses and Elijah. Moses represents the law, Elijah represents the prophets… and then you have Jesus Christ. And then the Father spoke. ‘This is my beloved Son. Hear ye Him.’… Not the law. Not the prophets. But Jesus.”

Listen as Pastor Brown hones in on the importance of the next events, saying “The minute He [The Father] said that, Elijah and Moses disappeared and the only person who remained was Jesus the Christ. Why? Because the Bible says righteousness by the law could not be attained through man… Jesus exemplified in bodily form this perfect righteousness that men tried so hard to attain, but they could not. So, the law and the prophets were fulfilled and done away with.”
