“And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” (Matthew 15:16-19)

“The heart becomes the bedrock on which everything is built up until this point in your life. So what I mean when I say that is that life to us is defined by the sum total of what we have experienced or have been taught. All of that together. Aggregately, all of that together, makes you up, makes who you are – good or bad. ” This week, Pastor Kevin Brown uses Matthew 15:16-19 to explain how our influences create the condition of our heart and how the heart provides the foundation for who we are entirely. Listen as he explains how our heart condition determines how we esteem God’s Word and therefore how receptive we are to its precepts and wisdom.
