Lowcountry Forever – Journey Home Rescue Alliance – June 28, 2026

LOWCOUNTRY FOREVER – June 28, 2026
GUEST: Danielle Zuck, Founder/Director of Journey Home Rescue Alliance
ISSUE: Animal Welfare
There are a large number of dogs in need of homes across the Lowcountry, and throughout South Carolina. Because of that need, Danielle Zuck founded a local chapter of the Journey Home Rescue Alliance, a non-profit that works with dogs. The goal of the Alliance is to bridge the gap between rural South Carolina animal shelters and non-profits to end unnecessary euthanasia. Zuck pointed out the Alliance is not competing with other organizations like the Charleston Animal Society. This non-profit is not a shelter, but instead a volunteer organization assisting dogs to get from one shelter to another, or from a shelter to a foster home. The Alliance focuses on fostering dogs and assists upwards of 30 animals each week. The Alliance, outside of cash, is mostly in need of a donation of someone’s time.
