“God is with Us” (Matthew 1:21-23)
Apostle Bernard Whaley | Faith in Action Kingdom Ministries

Apostle Bernard Whaley describes 2020 as a year in which the Lord has used the public surfacing of racism, the pandemic and political turmoil to “allow us to see our condition.” And reminds us that “the church is supposed to be God’s hospital,” where those in need come for rehabilitation and freedom. Matthew 1:21-23, this week’s highlighted scripture, reveals to us the source of that healing and confidence: “Emmanuel” or “God with us.” Apostle Whaley implores us to be willing vessels for service by taking on Mary’s attitude when she learned of her role in the story. Which, as Apostle Whaley paraphrases was, “Whatever you need to do, I’m here for You.”
