“Pentecost Means Power” (Acts 1:8)
Apostle Bernard Whaley | Faith in Action Kingdom Ministries

With this past Sunday having been Pentecost Sunday, Apostle Bernard Whaley breaks down the meaning of the holiday using Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Apostle Whaley translates this for present times, saying, “If we’re going to represent the Kingdom of God in this time, in this pandemic… we need men and women who’ll stand up for truth. And in order for us to do that, we need… the Spirit of God. Pentecost week is about receiving power to do God’s work.” Listen as Apostle Whaley explains that, “In order for you to be effective in your witnessing, you must have the Holy Spirit.”
