The Source of the Church’s Strength” (Psalm 121 & Numbers 13:33)
Apostle Bernard Whaley | Faith in Action Kingdom Ministries

“We have been called a ‘nonessential organization’ by the government… It is sad because God has made us to be essential. But we have rendered ourselves to be nonessential because of a lack of confidence and a lack of faith in what we do.” This week, Apostle Bernard Whaley draws a parallel between God’s people allowing themselves to be intimidated by the giants living the land in Numbers 13:33 and the modern church’s fear of what we’re up against now. “Fear will kill faith,” he says. “What they [the Israelites] said is what really killed their faith… they were looking at themselves based on the stature of the men they were watching, not based on the stature of their God.” Listen as Apostle Whaley encourages us with the familiar words of Psalms 121 and reminds us, “You must base everything you do on the stature of your God.”
