“Him Able” (Jude 1:24, Eph. 3:20)
Rev. Dr. Isaac Holt, Jr. | Royal Missionary Baptist Church

“No matter what life brings your way, Jesus is able to see you through.” What an awesome promise. With the coronavirus pandemic and current political tensions, the world can feel like a scary place. But Rev. Dr. Isaac Holt, Jr. reminds us that Jesus Christ is able to keep us. Both Jude’s letter and Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus close with the phrase “Now unto him that is able.” Jude finishes that sentence with “to keep you from falling” (Jude 1:24). Paul finishes it with “to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 3:20). To sum these up in, what Rev. Holt calls, Big Mama’s Vernacular: “Him able.” We believe God with you that God is about to speak a word that is especially for you.
